Skanska Developing First D.C. Multifamily
Swedish developer Skanska has arrived in Washington DC with Resa, its first multifamily development in the metro. The 12-story, 326-unit building is going north at a cost of $112 million.
The project at 22 M. St. NE is in DC’s NOMA area . Resa will include ground-floor restaurant and retail space, and Skanska is targeting the building for LEED Silver certification.
The apartment structure is the first phase of Tyber, a three-building, mixed-use development. Skanska is planning for Tyber to encompass 581,000 square feet of office space, 30,000 square feet of restaurant and retail, and an open-air courtyard.
