Skanska has completed the $256 million construction and renovation project for the Belmont Middle and High School in Belmont, Massachusetts.  

The project included the replacement and modernization of two schools, and it was carried out in multiple phases to allow the schools to remain operational throughout the construction. The new middle school is a four-story, 160,000-square-foot building that houses classrooms, science labs, a gymnasium, and a cafeteria.  

The existing high school was also extensively renovated. Sustainable features were incorporated, such as a geothermal system for heating and cooling, an array of solar panels, and the pursuit of LEED Gold certification.
