UT Dallas site for ambitious mixed-use housing/hotel/retail project

Sizable Mixed-Use Project On Way to UT Dallas

A mixed-use project is headed for the University of Texas at Dallas campus in the city of Richardson. Alta Terra Real Estate is going ahead with the Waterview mixed-use project. It’ll include multifamily apartment units, student housing, a four-story, limited-service hotel; and up to 19,000 square feet of retail space.

The student housing development would have 171 apartments, with up to four-bedrooms per unit. The site is expected to have 529 bedrooms with a number of exterior amenities. A shuttle service will be required between the development and the university campus when school is in session.

The second phase, which is expected to span over 9 acres, includes a multifamily building, a hotel and over 10,000 square feet of retail space. The multifamily building is expected to include 335 units, five of which will serve as live-work options. The 64,000-square-foot hotel is expected to have 110 rooms and would have a fitness center and business center.
