SIOR Honors Top 100 Office Dealmakers

The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) named the Top 100 Office Transactions of 2017, which recognize the largest sales and leases, ranked by square footage.

The largest office transaction of 2017, both by square footage and dollar volume, was arranged by Block Real Estate Services’ Kenneth Block, a $305-million sale of 2.2 million square feet of office space in Overland Park, KS. This transaction was also recognized with an SIOR Top Transaction Award.

SIOR’s Del Markward says, “It is amazing to see the success that SIORs have had in the office sector in 2017. As the definition of what an office should or should not be continues to evolve, SIORs leverage their network, education, and resources to stay ahead of industry trends and provide the space that their clients need.”

Additional honorees included Cushman & Wakefield’s Lloyd Cooper for a 410,193-square-foot lease, a 375,974-square-foot sale, and a 269,624-square-foot lease in Montreal. NAI Merin Hunter Codman’s Neil Merin was responsible for three of the top 10 transactions.
