SIOR Fall Event Combines Networking, Examining the Industry’s Future
The Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS (SIOR) concluded its 2026 Fall Event in New York City after bringing together more than 1,200 commercial real estate professionals from 21 countries for four days of networking, professional development and discussions on the forces shaping the industry’s future.
Held Oct. 19–22 at the New York Hilton Midtown, the event marked a milestone in SIOR’s 85th anniversary year, celebrating the organization’s longstanding commitment to professional excellence, trusted relationships and global collaboration. The conference featured keynote presentations from former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Moody’s Analytics chief economist Mark Zandi, bestselling author and leadership expert Caroline Webb, and legendary New York commercial real estate broker Bob Knakal, alongside educational sessions examining emerging opportunities and challenges across the industry.
“Our Fall Event in New York was a tremendous success, bringing together commercial real estate professionals from around the world to exchange ideas, strengthen relationships and discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping our industry,” said David C. Lockwood III, SIOR, CEO of SIOR. “As we celebrate our 85th anniversary, this gathering reinforced what has made SIOR such an enduring organization: a global community of professionals committed to excellence, collaboration and helping one another succeed. Those values have guided us for eight decades and will continue to drive our growth and impact in the years ahead.”
A central theme throughout the conference was the growing importance of specialized expertise, trusted relationships and adaptability as commercial real estate professionals navigate changing economic conditions, technology and occupier demands.
