Simmons University Unveils New Science Center, Renovated Library
Simmons University in Boston has completed the second phase of its strategic plan, known as One Simmons. The latest phase involved the unveiling of an 80,000-square-foot science center and a renovated library. The science center features advanced lab spaces, including a Nursing and Health Science Simulation Center, while the library offers new study and collaborative learning spaces.
“It is the culmination of a decade of planning and hard work that reflects the strategic direction of our University and advances this institution’s leadership in nursing, the health sciences, and library sciences,” said Dr. Lynn Perry Wooten, president of Simmons University.
Redgate, a strategic partner of Simmons, has provided owner’s representation services throughout the project, and Lee Kennedy Company has been the construction partner for phases one and two. The final phase, which includes the construction of a Living and Learning Center, will begin this summer and is expected to be completed in 2026.
