SilverRock Golf Resort Set to Launch in La Quinta
Encinitas, CA-based The Robert Green Co. and SilverRock Development Co. are set to commence development on the $330-million SilverRock Golf Resort. The La Quinta City Council approved an amended contract, and the developer has lined up $212 million in construction lending through Calabasas, CA-based Mosaic Real Estate Investors.
The loan, arranged by George Smith Partners, provides capital for the installation of master site infrastructure as well as development of both the 140-room Montage and 200-room Pendry Hotels (which must open by Dec. 31, 2020), the conference and shared services building, a new golf clubhouse and the first phase of branded residential units for both the Montage and Pendry at SilverRock. Plans include 29 Montage hotel-branded residences, 10 golf villas and 66 condo units.
The city’s former redevelopment agency acquired the 525-acre site off Avenue 52 and Jefferson Street in 2002. One golf course opened in 2005, but the development stalled as a result of the Great Recession.
