Sobrato Proposes Silicon Valley Office-Residential Project

Mountain View’s North Bayshore business district, home to Google and LinkedIn, could soon welcome a new mixed-use office and residential component.

Cupertino-based developer, the Sobrato Organization, has reportedly submitted preliminary plans for a 17-acre site, encompassing 670 units of market-rate housing, up to 130 affordable units, and a 230,000-square-foot office building.

The contemporary-style project would provide much needed residences, and move North Bayshore’s business district toward a live/work village. Sobrato’s proposal is the first to incorporate housing into the plan. The residential component was designed by architectural firm Studio T Square.
