Siemens Expands West Coast Rail Hub at McClellan

Siemens Mobility Inc. is expanding its West Coast rail services hub into a second location within McClellan Park, nearly tripling its existing operating footprint. Building 243C, an 85,785-square-foot industrial building, will serve primarily as a railcar repair and storage space. It is located at 5225 Luce Ave. in McClellan, CA.

The flexible column-free space will suit Siemens Mobility’s expanding train car repair and maintenance business, which is currently servicing large contracts with transit agencies from both the United States and Canada.

Siemens Mobility’s long-term lease, brokered by Mike Luca of CBRE, begins April 15, 2021. The company’s expansion is expected to create 50 new jobs.

Siemens Mobility currently leases 81,195 square feet at McClellan Park, where it has been a tenant since 2016. The park’s industrial buildings are suited for manufacturing and maintenance operations with heavy electrical power provided by SMUD, which offers the lowest electrical rates in California.

McClellan Park is located less than 15 minutes from downtown Sacramento and the Sacramento International Airport.
