Onetime casino site to become mixed-use development

Shuttered Las Vegas Casinos Site for Mixed-Use Project

Agora Realty and Management is proposing a new mixed-use project at the site of the former Fiesta Rancho and Texas Station in North Las Vegas. The only thing left standing after the sites closed three years ago, is a skating rink and parking lot. Station Casinos closed both properties in March 2020 with the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Agora wants to change the zoning for 73 acres at the northeast and southwest corners of Rancho Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard to accommodate residential and commercial use.

The zoning application states the commercial portion of the development will include “experiential commercial, recreation, hotel, retail, restaurant and multi-family uses” on the north and west sides of the site. The residential portion will have 665 units and will be on the southeast portion.

City staff recommends the North Las Vegas City Council approve the project.
