Shorebreak Hotel Launches Renovation
Bethesda, MD-based DiamondRock Hospitality is set to embark on a $3-million renovation of the Shorebreak Hotel in downtown Huntington Beach, CA. The makeover includes a new restaurant, expanded private dining and major upgrades to its 157 rooms situated along Pacific Coast Highway.
In April, Pacific Hideaway restaurant is set to open, featuring a menu of modern American food inspired by Asian and island flavors. The room upgrades are expected to be completed by early March.
The former Zimzala space will be redesigned, including reducing the seating by 100 and reconfiguring it to take advantage of ocean and pier views. Indoor-outdoor spaces will be created between the main dining room and patio, complete with roll-up garage-style doors.
The surf-themed boutique hotel was acquired by DiamondRock nearly two years ago for $58.5 million. Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants was brought in to manage the hotel.
