Shops at Sportsmen’s Lodge Reaches Full Lease-Up

Midwood Investment & Development’s 95,000-square-foot Shops at Sportsmen’s Lodge lifestyle center in Studio City is now fully leased. It offers a mix of top retail, food and wellness tenants for sophisticated Los Angeles consumers, including boutique grocer Erewhon and Equinox as anchors.

The project is a redevelopment of the meeting and convention space at the Sportsmen’s Lodge Hotel, long a San Fernando Valley landmark. “This iconic property presented the opportunity for us to share our vision and approach to urban restoration and revitalization,” said Midwood CEO John Usdan.

Midwood tapped architectural firm Gensler and design studio OLIN for the redevelopment project. The team worked closely with the city’s Cultural Heritage Commission, maintaining the rustic spirit of the Lodge, the existing natural foliage and tree canopy, and ensuring the design provides a visual connection to the former ponds at the property and adjacent Los Angeles River throughout the project.
