ShopCore Hosting Events Nationwide to Address Childhood Hunger

With a view toward addressing childhood hunger, Chicago-based ShopCore Properties will host a series of events nationwide during Hunger Action Month, including installations, activities, and fundraisers at its properties. Food donations will be collected at these “Giving Tables” every Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. throughout the month. Each property has partnered with a local food bank or nonprofit which these donations will benefit.

“One in six children experiences food insecurity in the United States,” said Rishika Mahtani, director of shopping center marketing for ShopCore. “For all of us at ShopCore, this is unacceptable. We have a longstanding commitment to combating childhood hunger through our nonprofit CoreGiving, and our initiatives focus on serving the needs of the communities in which we operate,”

Participating ShopCore centers include Downtown Palm Beach Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Encino Courtyard in Encino, CA; Kedron Village in Peachtree City, GA Northwood in Irvine, CA; One Colorado in Pasadena, CA; Park Village in Southlake, TX; Plaza at Rockwall in Rockwall, TX; The Point in Atlanta; The Shops at La Jolla in La Jolla, CA; The Shops at Skyview in Flushing, NY; Springbrook Prairie in Naperville, IL; Streets of Woodfield in Schaumburg, IL; West Broad Village in Glen Allen, VA; Westgate Center in San Leandro, CA; and Westwood Village in Seattle.
