Shea, RMV Plan 42-Acre MXU at OC’s Esencia
A joint-venture between Aliso Viejo, CA-based Shea Properties and the Rancho Mission Viejo Co. is developing a 42-acre mixed-use project at Esencia in South Orange County, CA. The 890-acre village is within the 23,000-acre Rancho Mission Viejo planned community.
The center will include a 75,000-square foot medical campus, limited-service hotel and general office space, as well as roughly 400,000 square feet of community-serving retail. Site grading is expected to be completed by early next year, and the MXU is slated for occupancy by mid-2018.
CBRE’s Tim McMahon, Justin McMahon, and Gregg Haly are handling the marketing, planning and leasing.
Tim McMahon says, the MXU sites’ location within the second of multiple planned villages at the 14,000-home community “is perfectly positioned to become a great hub of activity and an important gathering place.”
