Shamrock Holding’s Gold on Disney, USC, Risk and Reward

Connect Media spoke with Shamrock Holding’s President and CEO Stanley Gold at USC’s Real Estate Law and Business Forum last week. As CEO of Roy E. Disney’s private investment company, Gold manages the Disney family’s large portfolio to find the best return and minimize risk.

Gold, a USC alum, is involved in the university’s campus expansion plans. Over the next five years, the school is investing north of $2 billion dollars in expanding both of its campuses, including its medical school in Los Angeles.

As for the overall economy in 2016, Gold has a contrarian and somewhat optimistic view, “Things that weren’t good in the last couple of years will be good in the next couple of years.”
