Sephora Takes Down Largest Lease Since COVID Began

Sephora recently inked a mega-lease for new headquarters space in San Francisco – the city’s largest since the pandemic began. The office space at 350 Mission St. spans 286,000 square feet across 16 floors, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The beauty retailer will move next year. In a statement to the Chronicle, Jeff Gaul, Sephora senior vice president of store development, indicated this move consolidates the number of existing Sephora buildings and supports the company’s hybrid in-person and remote work practices “while providing ample room for growth.”

“350 Mission is thoughtfully designed to support and enhance the future of work at Sephora, which puts a strong focus on our employee culture, collaboration and flexibility,” he said.

Specifically, Sephora is combining its two existing offices at 425 Market and 525 Market into a single space, according to the Chronicle. The space is available after the previous tenant scaled back its offices amid work-from-home mandates.
