Seniors/Multifamily Project Wins Township Approval
Sugarcreek Township, OH trustees have unanimously approved construction of The Grand of Sugarcreek and Rollandia Greene. A joint venture of Cincinnati-based Guttman Companies and Forth Worth, TX-based Civitas Senior Living, the $60-million project will provide 242 luxury senior living units and 276 multifamily apartments just south of Dayton, OH.
The senior community will be built on 16 of the 42 acres at Rollandia Golf Course in Sugarcreek Township. Groundbreaking for the senior living community is expected to begin in the third quarter of this year, with completion scheduled for winter, 2019, said Ian Guttman, CEO of Guttman Properties. The multifamily community will follow soon thereafter.
“Studies have shown that seniors who live in housing that offers a resort-like experience feel connected to a community and have a better quality of life,” Guttman added.
