Even as Sears Holdings continues to shutter stores, Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores are continuing to expand. The latest such store to open is at 2811 Southwest Pkwy. in Wichita Falls, TX. The location is the 13^th opening of a new Sears Hometown Store so far in 2018.

The company is an independent national retailer that has a license to use the Sears brand name. The retailer is focused primarily on selling home appliances, lawn and garden equipment, tools and hardware. The stores are owned and operated through franchise and dealership agreements, and are primarily in smaller communities.

The Wichita Falls store is the only location where customers can find a selection of brand appliances, such as Kenmore, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Bosch, Frigidaire and GE.
