Seagis Continues Along Its Tear of South FL Warehouse Purchases
Seagis Property Group has purchased two Miami warehouses in recent weeks, bringing the company’s South Florida portfolio to 109 buildings and more than 5.6 million square feet (records show at least nine South Florida warehouses purchased by Seagis in 2021).
Its first acquisition is a 53,000-square-foot distribution facility located on NW 58th Street in Doral, FL. The two-unit warehouse was purchased through a 50% sale-leaseback and currently has a 26,500-square-foot vacancy.
The transaction was facilitated by Miguel Alcivar of Cushman & Wakefield.
The second acquisition is a 60,577-square-foot distribution facility located on NE 181st Street in Miami, FL. The property was pre-leased to a single tenant during due diligence.
“We have pursued this property for over two years and are thrilled to close on this strategically located, single-tenant building,” said Seagis VP Bradlee Lord. “The building has qualities that are attractive to users looking for a secured freestanding building and as such we were able to lease it to a quality customer prior to closing.”
