Sea Mar Health Acquires Tacoma Office Building

Lee & Associates helped broker the $6.2 million sale of the three-story Merit Building to Seattle-based Sea Mar Community Health Centers. The 28,000-square-foot facility is located at 615 S. Ninth St. in downtown Tacoma, WA.

According to the News Tribune, Sea Mar will occupy the top two floors, while the first floor is currently leased by two other tenants. John Bauder and Harrison Laird of Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services represented the seller, while Brian Petro of Horizon Real Estate Group represented Sea Mar.

The Merit Building has an interesting history. It was built in 1975 by Merit Construction, and in the early 1990’s played a key role in a county office space reshuffling to allow more room for criminal justice proceedings at the County-City Building.
