Scottsdale Mall Adds Hotel, Exploring Offices, Residences
The new 11-story, 265-room Ceasars Republic Scottsdale is accepting guests. The hotel, on the north side of Scottsdale’s Fashion Island, was built on leased land owned by Macerich, the mall developer. The Phoenix Business Journal reports there may be more additions to the mall that the company hopes will increase traffic there. Discussions are going on that might include “high-end residential” and “Class A office” uses.
In a Q4 2022 earnings call, Macerich said it was “moving forward with plans for multifamily, residential and up to 500,000 square feet of class A office” at Fashion Island. The company is also exploring possibilities to bring a mixed-use tower at Biltmore Fashion Park in Phoenix.
The 147-foot-high, 260,000-square-foot Caesars Republic Scottsdale boasts five top-floor penthouse entertainment suites, each exceeding 2,000 square feet. The hotel also features 28 luxury suites. The ground-floor restaurant from celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis, dubbed Luna, will seat 250 guests.
