SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union HQ Approved in Tustin

Plans were approved for construction of a new three-story, 180,000-square-foot corporate headquarters for SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union in Tustin, CA. SchoolsFirst FCU is acquiring 1.8 acres of property from the city to add to its existing campus located at Newport and Del Amo avenues, near the 55 Freeway.

SchoolsFirst FCU’s Bill Cheney says, “Our campus expansion and this new building will enable us to bring together several teams, helping us better serve our members. And having a state-of-the-art building will help improve our teams’ quality of work and reinforce the Credit Union as an employer of choice.”

SchoolsFirst FCU will eventually occupy 19 total acres encompassing more than 380,000 square feet of office. The credit union’s operations center has been a major business in Tustin since 1994, with some 900 employees currently on site. SchoolsFirst FCU will also construct a 5,000-square-foot credit union branch and a 921-stall, four-level parking structure.
