Scale AI Relocating DC Office to Larger Space in National Landing

Scale AI Inc., a San Francisco company that supplies training data for artificial intelligence technology, is relocating its D.C. office to a larger space in Crystal City, as part of a broader global expansion.

The company has signed a 22,000-square-foot lease at JBG Smith Properties’ 2231 Crystal Drive. The new space will accommodate roughly 100 people, up from the 30 employees it has at its 5,500-square-foot office at 2121 K St. NW in D.C.’s Golden Triangle.

Scale AI also announced expansions in New York, St. Louis, and London. The company has more than 1,000 employees. The location in Arlington’s National Landing area is set to open in December. Scale AI cited closer collaboration with federal and defense partners, as well as upgraded collaboration spaces for customer engagements, as part of the reason for the move.
