Savills Studley Broker Helps Youth Services Nonprofit Buy Santa Ana Building
Project Youth OCBF (Orange County Bar Foundation) acquired an 8,015-square-foot, two-story, Class A facility from law firm Bagby Gajdos & Zachary in Santa Ana’s Cabrillo Park neighborhood. The property is located on a 0.9-acre site at 1605 E 17th St.
The upgraded building was formerly occupied by the law firm, and provides a safe after-school haven for kids who benefit from Project Youth OCBF’s services, including health education, academic and career development, and a juvenile diversion program.
Savills Studley’s Steve Card represented the organization in the $2-million transaction, forgoing a commission in support of the nonprofit. Card is a member of the Board of Directors, as well as the Board’s president-elect.
Other board members who played key roles in facilitating the deal include Farmers & Merchants Bank’s W. Henry Walker, and Palmieri, Tyler, Wiener, Wilhelm & Waldron LLP’s Dennis W. Ghan, Esq.
