Savills Hires Thomas as Senior Director in D.C.
Savills has hired Amanda Thomas as senior director of project management in the firm’s Washington D.C. office. Thomas has an extensive background in project management, with a focus on architectural and engineering design for new construction and renovation projects.
Thomas joins Savills from Cushman & Wakefield, where she served as senior project manager, leading the design, development and implementation of construction projects on behalf of the firm’s clients. Over her 16-year career, Thomas has managed more than 50 commercial office projects, valued at more than $1 billion in total. Some of her noteworthy work includes a 28,000-square-foot relocation for Hanley Wood, a 22,000-square-foot relocation for Jackson & Campbell, and a 50,000-square-foot renovation project for the American Association of Justice in Washington, D.C.
“Savills has been committed to strengthening the firm’s project management and consulting solutions to deliver best-in-class resources for our clients. Amanda’s unique experience will have an immediate impact on the firm’s growing advisory services,” said Ben Plaisted, executive vice president and co-regional manager at Savills.
