Sares Regis Breaks Ground on 75-Unit CityLine Flats Addition

Sares Regis has started on 75 new apartments for its ‘The Flats at CityLine’ project in downtown Sunnyvale, CA, with nine of the units planned as affordable housing. The addition of the new building will bring The Flats’ unit total to 273, with expected completion of this phase in late 2021.

The new phase is located along W. Iowa Avenue, adjacent to existing Flats buildings along Washington and McKinley Avenues. The Flats are within one to two blocks of Sunnyvale’s Caltrain station and Murphy Avenue’s many shops and restaurants.

“With the existing apartments in The Flats fully occupied, we’re excited to begin the next phase of construction for this important downtown community,” says David N.P. Hopkins, SRGNC COO.

CityLine Sunnyvale, a Sares Regis JV with Hunter Properties, is a mixed-use district featuring residences, a public plaza, retail and office space planned across 36 acres in downtown Sunnyvale.
