Santikos Planning $3M Upgrade of Northwest Theater Complex

Santikos Entertainment Co., a San Antonio movie theater chain, will be investing more than $3 million to upgrade its Northwest 14 theater complex near Interstate 10 and Loop 410. The company plans to begin work on the property after July 4, 2018, with the goal to have auditoriums in full operation “as soon as possible,” company CEO David Holmes told the San Antonio Business Journal. The theater will remain open during construction.

The remodel will focus on the auditoriums, and will consist of new reclining seats, projection screens and sound systems. The complex will also receive electronic ticketing kiosks, a new lounge area and a full-service bar.

Santikos has been remodeling other area properties as well, including its Bijou complex at Wonderland of the Americas mall in Balcones Heights, TX.
