The conversion of 25% of the building from office to apartments in Santander Tower took a little over a year. A new rental community called Peridot now takes up 11 floors of the 50-story mixed-use towers. Pacific Elm Properties and Mintwood Real Estate say Peridot will start accepting tenants next month. The new apartment community will feature 228 units located at 1601 Elm Street, across from Thanksgiving Square.

Homes feature downtown and uptown views from one- and two-bedroom units ranging from 700 to 1,300 square feet. Building amenities including a private swimming pool, dog park, interior lounge spaces, fitness center, common areas, two lobby restaurants, a boutique hotel and the Tower Club on the 48^th floor. There is currently still over 30 floors of office available.
