Santa Fe Lands $80M Cancer Center
Currently, cancer patients who live in or around Santa Fe have to make the hour-long drive to Albuquerque to get acute care. Soon, they won’t. CHRISTUS St. Vincent, a regional medical facility, is starting construction on a new $80 million cancer center to serve patients’ needs in Santa Fe and north central New Mexico.
The fully integrated cancer center will be 80,000 square feet and is located at 455 St. Michaels Drive in Santa Fe. The project will offer services such as medical and radiation oncology, palliative care, integrative medicine, molecular medicine and an immunotherapy center. The facility will have 100 employees, including six oncologists.
The center will be constructed by Jaynes Corporation and GBBN Design. It’s set to open in late 2024.
CHRISTUS St. Vincent serves northern New Mexico communities such as Taos, Las Vegas and Raton.
