Santa Clara Data Center Adds 12 Megawatts of Capacity
Vantage Data Centers, a data-center landlord with properties in the Silicon Valley and the state of Washington, brought an additional 12 megawatts of power capacity to one of its Santa Clara buildings. The power was freed up with the departure of a tenant that had overestimated its capacity needs.
The Santa Clara campus contains three buildings, and the one with the freed-up space is dubbed V2.
The freeing up of capacity was a welcome relief for Vantage, which only had three megawatts available in the tight Silicon Valley data-center market.
