Sands Companies Brings $110M Cottage-Style, BTR Concept to Hilton Head Island
Sands Companies has begun construction on a horizontal cottage-style apartment home project in the Carolinas. The $110-million development, Argent Cottage Apartment Homes, further expands the company’s build-to-rent concept to Hardeeville, SC just west of Hilton Head Island.
The community will include 354 one- and two-story detached cottages ranging from one to three bedrooms between 510 to 1,293 square feet of living space and with monthly rent starting from $1,440.
“We chose Hardeeville for our next development because of how close it is to popular areas like Hilton Head and Savannah,” Sands president Joe Morrison said. “Residents who work in these destination towns need a place to retreat and call home. Argent Cottages does that while offering the privacy of a detached home and flexibility of renting while tying in the coastal charm of its locale.”
Sands has developed detached, horizontal apartments in communities in the Carolinas, GA and coastal FL since 2014.
