Sandbox VR to Open 2nd Puget Sound Location in South Lake Union

Sandbox VR, a full-body virtual reality entertainment experience, has expanded in the Puget Sound region with a new location in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. Expected to open in early 2023, the 6,000-square-foot space will reside at Vulcan Real Estate’s 520 Westlake property, with close proximity to offices, apartments and other retail venues.

“We chose South Lake Union to be where people live, work, shop, dine and play,” said Sandbox VR SVP David Friedman. “This area is in the heart of the tech sphere, while being close to Downtown Seattle, making Sandbox VR a great place for companies to host team building exercises and other social events.”

The location will feature four private rooms called holodecks for virtual reality gameplay. Each holodeck enables six players to have a shared experience, exploring virtual worlds and relying on each other to succeed in games designed to be social experiences.
