The 416,204 square foot complex is expected to cost $44 million. National apartment developer NRP is leading the project. It’s their third project in San Marcos. This one will be built at 1800 Center Point Rd and be called 1800 Apartments.

The site will have ten separate buildings and will include funding from private and public sources as well as be situated on a combination of private and public land. It’s meant for families and individuals earning up to 60% of the area median income. Amenities will include a swimming pool, fitness center, business center and a children’s activity center. But will also include add-ons such as after-school programming for kids, financial literacy training, and assistance to pursue home-ownership in the local community. 

Groundbreaking for the project is expected in December and is expected to open two years later.
