In its move to close gaps in existing historic districts, the city of San Marcos, TX is planning an open house to discuss expansion of the Hopkins Street and Lindsey-Rogers historic districts near downtown. The move is being spearheaded by the city’s Historic Preservation Commission, which will provide a recommendation to the Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council on whether the districts need to be expanded. The Council will decide on the expansion.

The come-and-go open house is scheduled from Noon to 6 p.m. on Wed., March 22, at San Marcos Recreation Hall, 170 Charles Austin Dr. The event provides residents with an opportunity to provide feedback to city staff.
