San Diego’s Balboa Executive Center Sold to Admiral Capital
The Balboa Executive Center, a five-story 120,992-square-foot Class A office building in San Diego, has been acquired by Admiral Capital, which was co-founded by David Robinson, U.S. Naval Academy graduate, philanthropist and NBA Hall of Famer. The seller was an unnamed institutional real estate investor.
Originally developed in 1988 and situated on a 4.4-acre parcel at 9444 Balboa Ave. in Kearny Mesa, the seller had invested significant capital into the 98%-leased building since acquiring it in 2015. Two of the assets’ largest tenants, which account for nearly half of the rentable space, have continued to expand and extend their footprint within the project.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Rick Reeder and Brad Tecca represented the seller in the disposition. Reeder says, “Balboa Executive Center is a great Class A building that has been institutionally-owned and professionally-maintained since 1999.”
