San Diego Water Authority Acquires Escondido Industrial

Cushman & Wakefield advised San Diego-based RPG in the forward sale of a newly completed 88,552-square-foot freestanding industrial building in Escondido. The buyer was San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA), which purchased the property located at 1960 Citracado Pkwy while it was still under construction, for approximately $38.76 million.

SDCWA’s acquisition was originally part of a larger planned two-building industrial development known as the Escondido Logistics Center. The second building is currently under construction.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Aric Starck and Drew Dodds represented RPG. The C&W duo is also leading marketing efforts for the second 58,502-square-foot building, available for lease or sale and scheduled for completion in January 2025.

“This was a unique industrial acquisition opportunity of a new Class A freestanding industrial building that is very well positioned in North San Diego County, a highly desired market,” said Starck. “RPG’s Escondido Logistics Center is the first speculative industrial development to be completed in Escondido over the previous five years.”

Michael Brennan will receive Connect CRE’s Lifetime Achievement Award and will participate in the Keynote Interview with Kevin Brennan, also of Brennan Investment Group. Join us at Connect Industrial Midwest 2025 on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 5, at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, IL, for this exclusive presentation!
