Riverview Tower hotels to offer office space

San Antonio’s Winston Hotels Offering Office Space

Adaptive reuse can take on a number of shapes and sizes. From office to apartments, and office to hotels seems to be the most common. How about hotel rooms to office space?

Winston Hotels, which late last year wrapped up redevelopment of the former Riverview Towers office complex in downtown San Antonio into a pair of new hotels, is taking the property full circle.

The San Antonio Business Journal reports the company is carving out some of the real estate in the center city structure for new office space. That may seem a risky move, given the state of the office market post-pandemic. But the company believes there is a market for what it can offer. The company is currently marketing about 16,000 square feet.

Winston Hotels is banking on the site becoming a popular landing spot for office tenants. “Having a hotel, rooftop bar, retail and office within the same building is rare but will become increasingly more common as the office market consolidates,” says Watts Winston.
