San Antonio's new $75M hospital to open this summer

San Antonio’s Methodist Healthcare to Open Newest Hospital

After incurring a number of delays and a challenging regulatory environment, Methodist Healthcare is almost ready to open the doors of Methodist Hospital/Landmark. The medical group took over the struggling Forest Park Medical Center in 2018 and is turning it into an acute-care hospital. The 54-bed hospital will have 12 operating rooms once completed this summer. It will also house 27 private patient rooms and 14 VIP suites.

Methodist is spending $75 million on the conversion, which will have 155,000 square feet of space.

The hospital campus, spread across a nearly 9-acre site with a hilltop view, will primarily serve an expanding population in Northwest San Antonio and up the I-10 corridor that has historically had to travel to the medical center for care.
