San Antonio’s Holt Cat Breaks Ground in North Austin Metro

Holt Cat launched construction on an 85,000-square-foot sales, rental and parts facility in Georgetown, TX, north of Austin. The San Antonio-based company sells and services Caterpillar equipment and engines. The new development at 2101 Airport Rd., near Lakeway Drive and Interstate 35, will be the largest retail facility the company has built in 30 years.

Holt Cat has been in the Austin area since 1954, and has locations in Austin (9601 Interstate 35) and Pflugerville (16017 N. Interstate 35).

The new facility is anticipated to be competed in mid-2019, and will employ between 100-125 people. The city of Georgetown approved $1.5 million in tax rebates for the project, with Mayor Dale Ross telling KXAN-TV that the facility will add about $13 million to the local economy over the next decade.
