San Antonio: Where Millennials Carry the Most Debt

San Antonio comes in first place in a variety of categories. According to a LendingTree study, the Alamo City also takes top spot nationally when it comes to millennials and debt, with the young adults owing an average of $38,336.

LendingTree, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, analyzed anonymized credit report data from My LendingTree users residing in the 50 largest metro areas in the U.S., and examined debt balances for those born between 1981-1995.

Still, San Antonio wasn’t the only Texas city in the top 10 “most debt” analysis. It was followed by Austin (which came in 3rd place); Houston (4th) and Dallas (5th).
