San Antonio River Walk Hotel Gets $40 Million Renovation

The Hyatt Regency San Antonio has been around for four decades, and after receiving a comprehensive transformation, it looks much younger. All 602 room and 28 suites were updated with floor to ceiling windows, hardwood flooring and new rugs and furniture.

Hotel corridors and elevator waiting areas have also been updated. The revamp coincided with a $15 million upgrade of the adjacent Alamo Plaza, which added a new exhibit hall.

Marc Anderson, who heads up Visit San Antonio says the upgrade is welcome news, “Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk is a vital hotel in a key, historic intersection connecting the River Walk and the Alamo.”
