MH Hospitality Management has purchased the Tru by Hilton Downtown Riverwalk in San Antonio. This is BH Hospitality’s second property downtown. It acquired the Hampton Inn location at 414 Bowie St. in 2019.

The San Antonio tourism industry has come back quickly from the Covid pandemic. The San Antonio Business Journal reports that San Antonio is on the upswing regarding the average daily rate hotels command. San Antonio was second among the four largest Texas metros at just over $131 in the first quarter of 2023. That’s a 13.8% gain over the same period in 2019.

MH took out a $9,975,000 mortgage from Broadway Bank as part of the acquisition. A purchase price wasn’t disclosed, though the land was recently assessed at $7.1 million by the Bexar County Appraisal District.
