RXR, the master planner of Veridea, the 1,100-acre mixed-use development in Apex, N.C., has announced that Samet Corporation will manage construction for the project. Samet will provide pre-construction and construction management services for Phase I in 2024. At completion, Phase I will include approximately 500 multifamily units, 1,100 single-family and townhomes and more than 100,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and commercial space. Veridea is located two miles south of historic downtown Apex. RXR will begin Phase I of development in early 2024 with new roadways, infrastructure and utilities before work begins on multifamily units toward the end of the year.

At final buildout, the mixed-use development will include up to 8,000 residential units, 3.5 million square feet of retail, hospitality and civic space, 12 million square feet of commercial space, and 340,000 square-foot Wake Technical Community College.
