Saltgrass Opens in Tyler
After more than a decade of thinking about it, Saltgrass Steakhouse opened in Tyler, TX at 7214 Broadway Ave. The new location has been operational since June 6, 2017, but the idea for putting the casual-dining restaurant in this East Texas city goes back to 2005.
Ken Pierce, Saltgrass’ vice president of operations, told the Tyler Morning Telegraph that the owner of the restaurant’s parent company, Landry’s, had four sons who came to Tyler to play in baseball tournaments in 2005. “That was when we first began looking at Tyler as a location,” Pierce said. “For a long time, Tyler has been in the works.”
The restaurant seats 260 customers, and has a private dining room and a full bar. The bar, the No Bull Lounge, is larger than the bar at any other Saltgrass location.
