Salesforce Tower “Topped Off”
Salesforce Tower officially topped-off this week, a construction milestone commemorated by a gathering of public officials, CRE industry leaders, architects, contractors, as well as the development team from Boston Properties and Hines. The 61-story tower is rising as San Francisco’s tallest, as well as west of Chicago.
Tenants are slated to begin moving into the 1.4 million square feet of space in a year. Salesforce became the anchor tenant in 2014, when the enterprise software company inked a lease for 714,000 square feet. Salesforce Tower is 68% leased, including additional deals totaling another 245,000 square feet with Bain & Co., CBRE and Accenture.
Leasing activity is accelerating now that the 1,070-foot-tall development is in the final stretch. Salesforce Tower is located at 415 Mission St. in the Transbay District.
