Salazar Re-launches Champion Realty with Focus on Outdoor Storage

Chicago real estate veteran J.D. Salazar has re-launched Champion Realty Advisors, an entity he created in 1997, with a new initiative. It will focus on acquiring industrial properties related to transportation and outdoor storage, on behalf of high net-worth individuals and family offices.

“Essentially, I am repositioning Champion Realty Advisors to focus on investment opportunities in outdoor storage and transportation-related real estate in major consumption zones and transportation centers around the country,” said Salazar.

For much of his career, Salazar served in key positions at Paine/Wetzel, one of Chicago’s top industrial real estate firms. In November 2016, he co-founded Industrial Outdoor Ventures (IOV), which had purchased nine properties in Atlanta, Chicago, Ft. Worth, Houston and Denver by last May.

Salazar transitioned out of IOV in order to work on growing his family’s real estate holdings through joint ventures and partnerships with family offices and high net-worth individuals.
