Saks Signs First Bronx Deal for 25K SF
Saks Off 5th, sister company of Saks Fifth Avenue, will be opening the Bronx’s first store at Bay Plaza Shopping Center at 200 Baychester Ave. The new discount store will take 25,000 square feet, and will be next to K-Mart.
Jerry Welkis and Etan Shalem of Welco Realty represented landlord Prestige Properties & Development in inking the 10-year lease. Brian Katz with Katz & Associates represented the retailer.
The new store is scheduled to open in summer 2017. Additional tenants in the 1.2-million-square-foot Bay Plaza Shopping Center include Marshalls, DWS, AMC Theatres, Modell’s and Pier 1 Imports.
