SAJ Signs Lease with Calvary Baptist Church to Share UWS Synagogue
SAJ, a synagogue on the Upper West Side, has signed a 2.25-year lease agreement with Calvary Baptist Church. The collaboration allows Calvary Baptist Church to rent and share space at SAJ’s 15 West 86th Street location while constructing its new church building.
The shared space includes classrooms, multipurpose rooms, and office areas for both SAJ and Calvary Baptist Church. “We are thrilled to welcome Calvary Baptist Church and their congregation to our synagogue building, and we look forward to working with them and sharing our space over the coming years,” said Rabbi Lauren Grabelle Herrmann.
Denham Wolf’s Lauren Davis, Cameron Tuttle, and Christopher Turner represented SAJ, while Calvary Baptist Church was represented by Stephen Sunderland of Optimal Spaces.
