SA Mixed-Use Lone Star Project Awaiting Last Review
A mixed-use project fronting the San Antonio River is facing a final review from a planning committee. If Bakke Development is successful, it will be able to get moving on plans for office, retail and food and beverage locations on five parcels starting at the 2000 block of South S. Mary’s Street. Alamo Architects is the design firm for the project. The Historic Design Review Committee is expected to take up the measure later this month.
The project will be part of the Lone Star District, named after the former brewery. The $600 million Lone Star District will feature 100,000 square feet of office space, restaurants, entertainment venues, and multifamily units.
Established in 1996 in San Antonio, Bakke Development Corporation has been in commercial real estate for nearly two decades. They specialize in mixed-use land development, including multifamily, self-storage, and Wal-Mart shadow-anchored retail shopping centers across South Texas, the Texas Hill Country, and beyond.
