The Avenue to break ground in Coral Gables Nov1

S. Florida Developer Building Hotel/Condos

Roger Development Group is preparing to break ground on the Avenue Hotel & Residences in Coral Gables after obtaining a $25 million construction loan. The South Florida Business Journal reports that Miami-based Inmocap 2 LLC provided the mortgage to San Lorenzo Property LLC, managed by Oscar Roger Sr., the founder of the local development group. It covers the 11,000-square-foot lot at 351 San Lorenzo Ave.

Roger Development Group is naming the venture Avenue Hotel & Residences. The eight-story building at 351 Lorenzo will feature 48 residential condos, ranging from 598 to 1,200 square feet and fully furnished, as well as the hotel. Roger expects most of the condos will be rented out by the hotel.

Amenities in the Avenue will include a pool deck, a summer kitchen and a family dining area. 

Roger expects to complete the project in the first quarter of 2025. Bermello Ajamil & Partners designed the project. Miami-based Thornton Construction Co. is the general contractor. Cervera Real Estate is the lead broker.
